2011 New Year’s Day outing

Headed for Nai Yang Beach, our favourite, on New Year’s Day with eight kids – Noi and Joy, Pat and Pong, Oh, Namneung, and Nai, and a new member of the “club”, Ob, who lives in a tiny wooden house in our village.

We were joined by Valerie, Renata, Chris & Ilse and Heidi. Thanks for the company, for helping to look after the kids, and for the financial support!

Very special day on Saturday (March 13), when we took 10 kids to Splash Jungle, the new water park in West Sands, near the airport. There’s a review of the place here, so that you can get an idea of what the place is about.

We took ten kids – Noi, Joy, and the twins Pat and Pong from Phuket Town; Oh, Nam-neung and Nai from Nai Yang, and James, Mae and Mo from Bang Rong. Lending a helping hand were two gorgeous Swedish visitors, Romanique and Ida. Thanks, girls.

The kids had a fantastic time. Didn’t want to leave. Wanted to live there forever. Big big thanks to the Splash Jungle boss Chris Stuart and his staff. As usual, some pix below:

Centrally located people needed

Don't kick the bucket.

We have been gathering things like buckets and spades for use on Tripz, which we’re happy to loan to anyone who wants to take some children for a day at the beach. We live on the northeast coast of the island, which is a bit of a trek for most people, so now we are looking for someone whose home is more central, who can act as our “distributor” for this equipment. Perhaps Phuket Town or Kathu. Any volunteers? Contact us and give us your email address.

Making a splash.

Terrific day out on Wednesday (April 22). BIG thanks to Miles and his family, who took nine children on their 40-foot motor cruiser from Chalong to their beachside home, where the children (and adults) spent hours splashing and crashing in the pool. Lots more pix here.
